The thesis aims to resolve the issue of enhancing the efficiency of English monologue production teaching to future mechanical engineers by means of podcasting technology. The current state of teaching English monologue production at higher technical education establishments in Ukraine has been analyzed. The necessity of developing a new methodology of teaching English monologue production to students majoring in mechanical engineering that (under the conditions of the limited in-class hours and ever-increasing requirements to the level of foreign language competence formation) is to ensure the efficiency of the teaching process due to the innovative podcasting technology implementation has been justified.
