Denisyuk OY Optimization of diagnostics of development and progression of age-related macular degeneration after surgical treatment of cataract. - Qualifying scientific work on the rights of the manuscript. The dissertation on competition of a scientific degree of the candidate of medical sciences on a specialty 14.01.18 - "Ophthalmology" (222 - "Medicine"). - PL Shupyk National Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education, Ministry of Health of Ukraine, Kyiv, 2020. The dissertation is devoted to optimization of diagnosis and prediction of development and progression of age - related macular degeneration after cataract surgery based on the study of diagnostic and pathogenetic role of immunological markers (IFN-γ, IP-9, IL-1β) in intraocular fluid. The studies clarified the relationship between intraoperative and postoperative factors and the progression of AMD after PHACO. Based on this, a score scale was developed to assess the progression of AMD after surgical treatment of age-related cataracts. Data on the relationship between the age of patients with the progression of AMD after PHACO have been clarified. Scientific data on the content of immunological markers in the intraocular fluid of patients with AMD and age-related cataracts have been clarified and their role in the progression of neovascular maculopathy has been established. For the first time, it was found that the prognosis of AMD progression and VA recovery after PHACO was determined by the content of IFN-γ in the intraocular fluid. An indicator of the dynamics of AMD according to the AREDS scale has been developed and put into practice to assess its progression after PHACO. The level of IFN-γ in the intraocular fluid was established, at which the development of AMD is probable with an accuracy of 79.6%. The general prognostic model of probability of progression of AMD after PHACO is constructed and put into practice. Key words: age-related macular degeneration, age-related cataract, phacoemulsification, IFN-γ, IP-9, IL-1β, diagnosis, prognosis.
