Stanko I. Correlation of principles and norms of the law in the legal systems of Ukraine and the European Union

In the dissertation it is defined the level of scientific researches of the problem of correlation of norms and principles of law in the legal systems of Ukraine and the EU. The methodology of research of correlation of principles and norms of law in legal systems is reconsidered. The structure of the legal system is characterized by using a theoretical model of the general structure of the legal system. The thesis that the principles of law are an integrating element of the legal system is proved. The peculiarities of the rule of law as a normative element of the subsystem of the legal system are considered. The interrelation of principles and norms of law in the legal system of the European Union and the legal systems of its State-members is substantiated. The peculiarities of the principles and norms of law in the legal system of Ukraine are considered. Problematic aspects of the relationship between principles and norms of law in the legal system of Ukraine in the context of its European integration aspirations are clarified.
