Essay

Chronic hemorrhoids are still one of the most common human diseases. Surgical methods of сhronic hemorrhoids treatment are constantly evolving. One of the relatively new trends in surgical clinics in Ukraine is the “electrowelding” of biological tissues, but the results of the use of welding technique in hemorrhoidectomy remain unknown. However, there are no specific recommendations for operating modes. These unresolved problems determined the aim and objectives of the study. The aim of our study was to improve the results of surgical treatment of patients with chronic combined hemorrhoids of the III-IV degree by the use of high- frequency currents. The main objectives of the study were to study and compare the intensity and duration of postoperative pain syndrome, the nature and frequency of early and late postoperative complications, to study the morphological changes that occur in hemorrhoidal tumors and adjacent tissues in various methods of excisional hemorrhoidectomy.
