Essay

The thesis reveals the features of analysis and interpretation of social well-being in the socio-humanitarian sciences. The concept of "social well-being of IDPs" has been described and a conceptual scheme of measuring the level of social well-being of IDPs has been proposed. In addition, the main factors influencing this social phenomenon have been singled out at the national level. The social well-being of IDPs has been considered from the standpoint of the provisions of the deprivation approach and the theory of labeling. Based on the secondary analysis of national research, the spatio-temporal dimension of IDPs for the period 2014-2019 has been singled out. Trends and consequences of internal movement through the prism of solving a number of problematic life situations in which IDPs are located have been characterized. At the local level, the nature and peculiarities of the attitude of Lviv residents to IDPs from Donbas and the Autonomous Republic of Crimea have been comprehensively studied, taking into account their problematic life situations. Methodological approaches and methods of measuring the social well-being of IDPs in emotional-evaluative, deprivation and spatio-temporal dimensions have been determined. The context of modern migration processes and differences in the interpretation of the concepts of "refugees", "displaced persons", "IDPs" taking into account the legal framework concerning the designing strategies for solving IDPs’ problems in modern Ukrainian society have been considered.
