The dissertation research defines the main stages and reveals the characteristic features of the development process of the planning structure and architecture of Vinnytsia at the end of the 19th and first half of the 20th centuries. It was analyzed historiography and systematized the source base. The method of complex analysis of space changes in architecture of Vinnytsia have been studied according the outlined period. It was established the preconditions and the main influence factors in the architectural and town-planning development of Vinnytsia. The stages of development of Vinnytsia in the late 19th – first half of the 20th century have been determined, in particular the city planning structure. It was identified the main typological groups and stylistic trends in architecture and their features were revealed.
