Essay

In the dissertation it is established analytically, CFD simulation and experimentally, that pipelines of gas and thermal networks can be reconstructed by extending a pig of a new polyethylene pipeline or hose into a worn steel pipeline. The dependences for the calculation of the resistance forces acting on the moving system and the required pressure at the compressor outlet for the pig to extend the new polyethylene pipe or hose along the entire length of the reconstructed pipeline are derived. The regularities of pressure change at the compressor outlet depending on the length of the section of the polyethylene pipeline or hose extended by the pig are established. The dynamics of pig drawing of a new polyethylene pipeline in a worn steel one was experimentally studied. Technique and technology of trenchless reconstruction of gas and heat network pipelines by drawing a pig into a worn steel pipeline of a new polyethylene pipeline – " Pulling pigP" and a new hose – "Pulling pigH", which are industrially tested and introduced into production.
