Romanenko Y. Muscle tenderness in patients with different types of headache.

The dissertation is devoted to increase of accuracy of diagnostics and efficiency of pathogenetic – conditioned treatment of patients with tension-type headache (TTH) and migraine (M), combined with muscles tenderness at the cervical and pericranial level, by studying of clinical, psychometric and neurophysiological parameters. In-depth understanding of the peculiarities of the formation of chronic pain syndrome in TTH and M, combined with muscles tenderness at the cervical and pericranial level. A comprehensive assessment of the significance and established character and solidity of the relationship between the clinical-neurological, psychometric and neurophysiological characteristics of TTH and M, combined with muscles tenderness at the cervical and pericranial level, was performed. For prognostic purposes, to determine the risks of chronicity of TTH and M, a classification discriminant system of equations has been developed. The algorithm of examination, diagnostics and planning of preventive therapy in persons with tension-type headache and migraine depending on their psycho-emotional state and presence of muscles tenderness at the cervical and pericranial level is developed.
