The dissertation is devoted to the research of information and communication dimension of the modern political system of Ukraine. In the course of the research the theoretical and methodological bases of the analysis of the information and communication space of politics, in particular, the genesis of theories of political communication, its structural and functional structure are systematized. Exploring the institutional dimension of information and communication influence on Ukrainian politics, political communication is analyzed as a factor influencing the transformation of the political system and tools of the electoral process. The peculiarities of local self-government as a space for the application of information and communication technologies are clarified. Through the prism of definition the determinants of the impact of political communication on civil society and political culture, the main aspects of the value dimension of the information and communication space of politics in modern Ukraine are revealed.
