Shevchuk Y. Development of project financing in Ukraine in the context of European integration

The dissertation is devoted to the deepening of theoretical and methodological fundamentals of project financing and the development of practical recommendations on increasing the efficiency of use of its tools to ensure the socio-economic development of the Ukrainian economy in the context of European integration. Opinions of domestic and foreign scientists on the content of project financing have been generalized. It is proved that project financing is based on synergy of financial and project management, risk management and a set of contractual relations between project participants. The author’s synthesized approach in identifying the stages of the evolution of project financing is proposed. This made it possible to identify the impact of general economic, financial, sectoral and globalization factors on the state of project financing in the world and in Ukraine and to predict its development in the future. Risk grouping in project financing has been conducted; it was proposed to manage such risks based on a ‘management of changes’ approach. The study of the priorities of the EU countries development strategy and the mechanisms of their financial support based on the instruments of the European Investment Bank, in particular European Structural and Investment Funds, has been deepened. The directions for applying the practice of using such instruments in Ukraine as well as the priorities for further cooperation with the European institutions in the context of financial support for priority projects have been identified.
