Pitsyk M. Improving energy efficiency of urban passenger bus transportations

The thesis is devoted to improving the energy efficiency of urban passenger bus transportations. In order to improve the energy efficiency of buses and transportations, it is proposed to solve the problems of scientific justification of the modern city buses and updating the rolling stock of transport enterprises using methods that correspond to the concept of energy saving on the basis of an innovative technical and technological approach. An innovative approach to forming a fleet of buses in transport companies is to choose buses for urban routes that will ensure long-term competitiveness in the market of transport services. In this regard, increasing the relevance of new integrated methods of energy analysis of the operation of buses and increase transport energy efficiency based on modernization theory and methods increasing energy efficiency of the vehicle of the generic type, namely: the monitoring methodology of a given segment of the bus market in terms of their transport energy efficiency; methodology of improving transport efficiency of the bus taking into account the structural parameters, as well as road and traffic conditions on the route; method of accounting the transport energy efficiency of the bus during the competition while choosing the carrier on the route. Thus, the developed methods allow us to implement a comprehensive approach to solving the problem of increasing the technological level of passenger transportation according to the concept of technological modernization of energy saving on passenger vehicles.
