The dissertation is devoted to the development of scientific and practical foundations for managing the environmental safety of the territories of settlement zones of urban systems in order to reduce the man-caused impact in the event of noise pollution. As a result of the conducted researches the unified schemes of arrangement of control points on definition of levels of noise pollution taking into account architectural and landscape planning of the investigated territories for carrying out experimental researches are developed. This approach allowed to develop a universal mathematical model that takes into account the integrated indicator of the contribution of green areas in noise reduction and can be used in the design of new residential areas or calculations for the implementation of additional noise protection solutions for all urban infrastructure and transport network, regardless of type and the geometric structure of greenery. The approbation of the mathematical model on the experimental data obtained during 2016 − 2018, revealed low efficiency in reducing noise levels from the existing green areas. The practical component of the work consists in the development of methodological approaches to the organization of combinatorial noise protection solutions for additional local gardening and were introduced at full-scale objects in the city of Kharkiv, the effectiveness of which has been experimentally confirmed. The developed methodological approaches are the effective component of monitoring noise levels at the stage of making environmentally friendly decisions.
