Bozhko Y. The mechanisms of state policy modernization in the sphere of employment of people with disabilities in Ukraine

In the dissertation, the theoretical and methodological analysis of the state policy in the field of employment of persons with disabilities is carried out and the complex mechanism of modernization of the state policy on securing the conditions for realization of their rights in the sphere of work and employment in Ukraine is developed, substantiated and proposed. The basic terms and concepts of disability models used by researchers are revealed and the conceptual apparatus of the study is specified by clarifying the content of the terms «disability», «person with a disability» and «modernization of a state policy». The author defines the concept of «employment of persons with disabilities» as the set of socio-economic relations regarding their participation in work activities. This set expresses the extent of inclusion of persons with disabilities into work, the degree of satisfaction of their personal needs in paid workplaces, in income generation. The concept of «modernization of the state policy on employment of persons with disabilities in Ukraine» is defined as the update of the state policy on employment of persons with disabilities by aligning the realization of the rights of persons with disabilities to employment and their comprehensive needs in the field of work with the best current social, political, economic and legal standards.
