connected speech at early preschool age on the basis of didactic visual aids, which involves the provision of dedicated classes, notably enhancing communication sessions aiming at encouraging children’s speaking activeness in the communication process on the content of a literary work and its dramatizing, was developed and substantiated. A sequential rotation of types of speech activities while working on a literary text during several classes, namely, from enabling its proactive apprehension, practicing the skills of responding to questions and reproducing elementary actions on the content at the first lesson to encouraging children to discuss the content of a literary text after its re-reading and looking at the respective illustration at the second one. At this stage, children of preschool age were engaged into making a description employing an adjacent speech technique. At the third lesson, children were involved into composing a narration while reproducing a literary storyline through dramatizing and unguided play with figure characters. The effectiveness of the developed methodology of propaedeutic activities was assessed in the course of the experimental study. The effectiveness of the methodology of propaedeutic activities for teaching connected speech at early preschool age was assessed at the checking stage of the experiment through the comparison of the results of the diagnostics of children from experimental and control groups before and after the forming stage of the experiment. The reliability of the results is substantiated by the calculation of the validity of differences according to Pearson’s test of homogeneity(a chi-squared test). The results of the experiment confirmed theeffectiveness of the author’s methodology of propaedeutics activities for teaching connected speech at early preschool age on the basis of didactic visual aids.
