In the Thesis have been studied a frequency that asthenic syndrome occurs in children with infectious mononucleosis. Clinical manifestations are studied, emotional status, memory status, persistence and concentration of attention are assessed, the state of carbohydrate metabolism is determined, the functional state of the nervous (with the help of EEG) and cardiovascular (ECG, dopplerography of the vessels of the head and neck), vegetative homeostasis was evaluated. Also, the approaches to the treatment of asthenic syndrome in children with infectious mononucleosis have been developed. 447 children with infectious mononucleosis were examined, 220 of them showed signs of asthenic syndrome. First completed a complex clinical and instrumental examination of 220 children aged from 4 to 17 years, with infectious mononucleosis with asthenic syndrome, was performed by diving into groups: the main group - 120 children (54,5 %), treated with astenic syndrome citrulline malate, the control group - 100 children (45,5 %) who did not receive specific therapy for asthenic syndrome. The scientific substantiation of the peculiarities of the pathogenesis of asthenic syndrome on the basis of detection of disorders of carbohydrate metabolism in children with AS, combined with infectious mononucleosis EBV etiology. It has been determined that in children with asthenic syndrome on the background of MI, changes in psychological status are accompanied by a high frequency of all studied indicators: complaints of emotional lability, increased anxiety, impaired concentration and stability of attention, memory dysfunction. For the first time, a comprehensive examination of the nervous and cardiovascular system using EEG, ECG and Doppler imaging of the vessels of the head and neck was used. While comparing a dynamic of the parameters of AS in children with infectious mononucleosis in the main group that received citrulline malate and the control group that did not receive specific therapy, during a primary examination and a month later, showed that the probability of detecting an excess of positive dynamics was noted in the main group compared to the control group. Key words: infectious mononucleosis, asthenic syndrome, children, emotional disorders, cognitive disorders, autonomic homeostasis, citrulline malate.
