Essay

The scientific work involves the analysis of the results of examination and management of 98 patients with deep vein thrombosis (DVT) of lower extremities of varied localization. Depending on the administered treatment, patients were randomized into three statistically homogeneous groups. Group I involved 32 patients, which were prescribedscheme of double therapy - overlapping. Thirty-four patients made up study Group II, they received monotherapy scheme.Group III consisted of 32 patients whose DVT was treated with scheme of double therapy-bridging. Patients in all three study groups did not differ significantly in the main criteria. In 60 (61.2 ± 4.9%) patients, deep vein thrombosis was regarded as induced: during the last month they developed conditions that caused deterioration of hemodynamics in deep veins of lower extremities. 38 (38.8 ± 4.9%) patients had no history of factors that could cause deep vein thrombosis, so it was considered unprovoked.
