Bihdai M. Ideographic Parameters of the Verbal Lexicon of the Ukrainian Language

The dissertation is devoted to the study of ideographic parameters of the verbal lexicon of the Ukrainian language. The lexical-semantic classification of the lexical-semantic variants of the verbs of the Ukrainian language has been carried out. A formal representation of the verb definition in an explanatory dictionary is first defined for each lexical-semantic subgroup of verbs. Based on the presented lexical-semantic classification and separation of an ideographic parameter the ideographic dictionary of verbs of the Ukrainian language is built. An ideographic parameter is interpreted as a lexicographic parameter of the linguistic type that denotes lexical-semantic combinations of words (lexical-semantic field, thematic group, lexical-semantic group, lexical-semantic subgroup) in an ideographic dictionary. Lexicographic database „VerbSemClassˮ was created, which reveals a correlation between a specific verb-identifier and the corresponding lexical-semantic group and subgroup.
