Essay

The object of the dissertation research is the international and interstate relations between the Republic of Turkey and the European Union on the issue of the accession of the Republic of Turkey to the European Union in their historical and legal retrospect and modern realities. The subject of the study is the historical and legal study of European integration processes in the Republic of Turkey. For the first time: - the mechanism of formation of political decisions of international legal character by the ruling political party in the conditions of authoritarian political and legal regime of the Republic of Turkey and their embodiment in the corresponding regulations is revealed; - the peculiarities of constitutional reforms, legislative initiatives of the Government of the Republic of Turkey and their legal implementation in the context of approximation of national legislation to the standards of the legal system of the European Union are revealed. Improved: - conclusion on the impact of the European vector of Turkish policy on the international legal position on controversial and conflicting issues of both history and modernity (the problem of Cyprus, the Aegean dispute, the Armenian genocide, etc.). Received further development: - determining the ratio of internal and external factors in the process of forming a modern security and defense policy of the Republic of Turkey and its legal consolidation; its contribution to the security of the European continent.
