Mukan A. Modernist experimental prose of the period of the Ukrainian artistic movement (on the material of works by Yu. Kosach, I. Kostetsky, V. Petrov).

The dissertation comprehensively covers the phenomenon of modernist experimental prose on the example of the works of Ukrainian writers Yu. Kosach, I. Kostetsky and V. Petrov (Domontovych). The object of the study is their multi-genre prose of the late 30's - 40's of XX century. The first part defines the terminological apparatus of the research, in particular, the concepts of "artistic experiment", "experimental literature", "experimental prose", "ornamental prose", "plot (fable) prose" are formulated. The defining features of experimental prose at the level of content and form are formulated based on abstracting literary works devoted to such genres of literature, as well as philosophical, linguistic, psychoanalytic studies that explain the genesis of artistic experiment. Among them are a bright intellectual dominant, polyproblematicity, communicativeness, game nature, valid at all structural levels, irony, and paradox, mixing of different genre codes and arts.
