Svir P. Criminological characteristics and prevention of home invasion robbery in Ukraine

The dissertation is devoted to a complex research of criminological problems of prevention of home invasion robberies in Ukraine. The scientific task of developing an integral theoretical and practical approach to the formation of a strategy for the prevention of these crimes was set and solved for the first time, which provided an opportunity to substantiate proposals aimed at improving legislation and its practical application by the National Police. The historical development of criminal liability for robbery is generalized and the peculiarities of foreign experience of law enforcement agencies in preventing of home invasion robberies are revealed. The structure and dynamics of these crimes are described. The content of determinants that contribute to the criminalization of property is revealed. A conceptual vision of ways to implement legal and organizational prevention measures is proposed at the general social, special criminological and individual preventive levels.
