Essay

The dissertation presents the results of studies to determine the productivity and quality of sowing peas seeds depending on the varietal composition and the use of a plant growth regulator (PGR) and a biological preparation for pre-sowing seed treatment in rainless conditions in the south of Ukraine. The elements of pea cultivation technology have been improved depending on the action of this preparation for pre-sowing seed treatment, which allows forming the best indicators of standing density, leaf surface area, net photosynthesis productivity, chlorophyll and carotenoid content in leaves, elements of crop structure, nitrogen-fixing activity, yield level in conditions of arid climate of southern Ukraine. The highest productivity level was observed in the variety Deviz of seeds with seed treatment before sowing with AKM growth regulator and the Rizobofit microbial preparation with seed yields of up to 3.01 t / ha. Also, the variety Deviz provided the average factorial yield on the level 2.83 t / ha. while in the Glians and Otaman varieties it decreased in accordance with 2.50, 2.77 t / ha or to 2.2 and 13, 2%. Analysis of variance revealed an absolute advantage of the impact on the yield of peas - pre-sowing seed treatment - 53.0%, the varietal composition accounts for 35.0%, and the interaction of factors is 5.9%. Economic analysis proved that the cost of gross output in the cultivation of sowing peas Otaman, provided the use of biological product and plant growth regulators for pre-sowing seed treatment was significantly lower than the varieties Deviz and Glians. The maximum conditional net profit was recorded in the version with the motto variety – 15451 UAH/ha. The highest level of profitability in the experiment – 241% received for the cultivation of the pea variety Deviz for seed treatment with plant growth regulator AKM. It was determined that the coefficient of energy efficiency of the developed technology of growing peas changed slightly by varieties - from 3.1 on the variety Otaman to 3.4 - on the variety Deviz. Pre-sowing treatment of seeds with biological products and plant growth regulator also had a negligible effect on the fluctuations of this energy indicator
