The study is devoted to the problem of forming the professional competence of future engineers-technologists of food and processing industries in the process of chemical training. The scientific and pedagogical analysis of the raised question is carried out; the essence of the concepts «professional competence of future engineers-technologists of food and processing productions» and «forming the professional competence of future engineers-technologists in food and processing productions in chemical training» are specified. The components of professional competence of future engineers-technologists in food and processing productions are singled out and argued. Some aspects of chemical training of future engineers-technologists in food and processing productions in Ukraine are described. The pedagogical conditions of forming the professional competence of future engineers-technologists in food and processing productions in chemical training are theoretically substantiated and experimentally checked. The model of forming the professional competence of future engineers-technologists in food and processing productions in chemical training, educational and methodical maintenance for improvement of chemical preparation are developed and introduced in educational process of higher education institutions. Criteria, indicators and levels of forming the professional competence of future engineers-technologists in food and processing productions in chemical training are defined.
