Essay

The dissertation is devoted to the consideration of the plot - image interaction of the artistic traditions of the European opera tradition and the Chinese musical theater in the light of the problem of dialogue of cultures. In this regard, the phenomenon of dialogue in literary and musicological research is considered, which allows us to trace the dialogic interaction of cultural traditions of East and West in music, theater and opera. Theoretical and conceptual principles and cultural-historical preconditions of studying the phenomenon of opera plot and opera plotology as an actual sphere of modern musicology are determined. This allows us to trace the logic and general principles of construction of the plot of the work of art in general, and the opera in particular. The leading principles and artistic properties of the phenomena of interpretation and reinterpretation of the literary source in the opera art of the countries of the East and Europe are revealed. The embodiment of the traditional oriental plot in European opera can be traced on the example of G. Puccini's opera "Turandot". This period is characterized by internal structural changes that have occurred in the interaction of East and West in European music, including opera. The interrelation of the studied phenomenon with the active integration processes taking place in the modern world culture is analyzed and revealed. The principles of reinterpretation of "Madman's Notes" MV Gogol and the comparison of the range of images and artistic solutions with the "Diaries of the Mad" by Lu Xin, which became the basis for Guo Wenjin's opera. Various aspects related to the creation of the image of the protagonist and the peculiarities of his embodiment in the works of MV Gogol, Lu Xin and Guo Wenjing.
