Essay

The dissertation examines the role and place of mathematical programming in the process of teaching disciplines of the specialty 014.09 Secondary education (Computer Science) in a higher pedagogical educational institution. The possibilities of using various modern software tools are also examined to support the learning and teaching to solve mathematical programming problems. The main components of a computer-oriented methodological system for teaching future IT teachers of mathematical programming and the formation of their system of professional knowledge and skills which are necessary as in the process of professional training in a higher pedagogical educational institution as for professional pedagogical activity, self-education and self-improvement have been developed and scientifically substantiated. They are sufficient to use modern information and communication technologies for solving problems. The main components of the computer-oriented methodical system of teaching future IT teachers of mathematical programming have been experimentally tested, it helps to increase the levels of professional knowledge and skills of future teachers. The state of a training system of future IT teachers for the using of modern information and communication technologies for solving mathematical programming problems in pedagogical science and practical activities of higher pedagogical educational institutions of III-IV levels of accreditation has been investigated. The assessing criteria of students’ knowledge and skills on mathematical programming and future IT teachers’ indicators of their formation levels of the system of corresponding professional competencies have been determined.
