Essay

The object of the research were the historical novels of Raisa Ivanchenko “Steep banks spilled...”, Maria Morozenko “Ivan Sirko, the great sorcerer”, “Ivan Sirko, the glorious commander”, Yuri Mushketyk “Hetman, son of the Hetman”, Valentyn Chemerys “Tsaregrad Torture”, “Cossacks awoken by daylight”. The results and the scientific novelty of the thesis consists in the fact that it was first implemented: a comprehensive analysis of the historical narratives of the XXI century in the context of the literary process, traditions and innovations of the Ukrainian historical prose; classification of genre-specific features of the works; a coverage of artistic modeling of historical events and figures; a clarification of the enrichment of the system of graphic-expressive means; the scientific and methodological approaches to the determination of innovative signs of the relationship between historical realities and artistic versions; the functional and evolutionary understanding of a literary phenomenon; identifying of the transformation of chronotope design methods were improved. The work further developed the definitions of the concepts of the historiosophical artistic thinking of the authors; disclosure of the structure and elements of system-event constructions of works; lighting the synthesis of epic and lyrical dominants, means of intertextuality. The practical value: the materials of work will be relevant when writing monographs, textbooks and manuals for the higher educational institutions, gymnasiums and colleges with in-depth study of the humanities. The results of the research can be used in teaching the history of Ukrainian literature, in special courses and special seminars, in optional university and school classes.
