Trotska V. M. Free use of works in the digital environment. Мanuscript. Scientific and Research Institute of Intellectual Property of the National Academy of Legal Sciences of Ukraine. Kyiv, 2021. The dissertation is a comprehensive research of the features of application of the norms of the legislation on the free use of works in the conditions of digital environment development. The analysis was based on international and national legislation, foreign and domestic experience, judicial practice and legal doctrine, which allowed to propose the author's approach to the definition of relevant concepts in copyright. The aim and objectives of the dissertation determined the choice of its structure. The work consists of three chapters and covers the following questions: 1) theoretical and methodological principles on the free use of works; 2) the digital environment and its impact on the development of the norms of free use of the works; 3) interfacing related to the free use of works in the digital environment in international and national law. The dissertation deals with the issues of the historical and legal aspects of the establishment of norms of exceptions and limitation in copyright in the laws of different countries; factors, that influenced their need for improvement; features of terminology application; definition and systematization of conditions for free use of works; the features of the digital environment and its impact on the improvement of relevant norms; the legal regulation of relations in accordance with international and European legislation; trends in the development of legislation.
