Rusyniak A. Regional mass media in the political system of Ukraine: political analysis.

This thesis is devoted to the research of the role, potential and possibilities of influence of regional mass media on the political system of modern Ukraine. The theoretical and methodological component of the thesis is focused on the study of mass media in the context of political discourse and on the study of the functional features of regional mass media. During the research process of institutional features of local media functioning, in the thesis is analyzed the foreign experience of the regional media space formation and also political and legal conditions of regional mass media in Ukraine. In the thesis have been clarified the peculiarities of party press as a communication component of local election campaigns. Through the prism of the research of regional mass media specifics as actors of socio-political processes in modern Ukraine, in the thesis are clarified the factors of politicization of the regional media market, also have been determined the resource potential of local mass media in the context of civil society development and the influence of regional mass media convergence on constructing a new political reality.
