Essay

The dissertation is focused on the search for factors that can contribute to the development of communicative interaction in children with communication disorders, as well as ways of psychological and pedagogical correction in order to form the ability to communicate in children with communication disorders. The paper analyzes and compares the most well-known successful models of psychological and pedagogical intervention applied by outstanding teachers and psychologists for treatment of children with developmental disorders, particularly communication disorders. It has been determined that despite various psychological and pedagogical methods, a common feature of all these interventions was changing the family model and establishing the authority of parents and/or adults who constitute the inner circle of the child, and who were able to gain authority with a child suffering from a communication disorder and establish themselves as the child's reference persons. A new method of psychological and pedagogical correction aimed at the formation of communicative interaction in children with communication disorders has been devised. The method involves the use of a certain model of behavior for adults closest to the child in order to form motivation and ability to communicate. The suggested model of behavior is aimed at involving the child in emotionally significant interaction, forming the authority of a significant adult and becoming a reference person for a child with communication disorders. To confirm the effectiveness of this method, an experimental study has been conducted. The results of the experiment indicate numerous positive changes in the behavior and development of children during the experimental intervention period, which has been confirmed by the results of structured observation as well as ATECs. The study has confirmed the possibility of developing the ability to communicate in children with communication disorders with specially organized training based on psychological approaches to behavior correction.
