Balaklitsky A. Evolution of the main features of the state in the context of globalization.

The thesis investigates the essence, content and directions of transformation of the main features of the state in the context of modern globalization processes. Modern theoretical and methodological approaches to the study of the phenomenon of globalization, the directions of its impact on the modern state, in particular, on the system of basic features of the state are analyzed; the author's definition of the concept of «state» is offered, the content of which provides an opportunity to take into account the globalization dimension of its modern development; the characteristic of the vector of transformation of the legal system of the state in the context of globalization is given. The peculiarities of the impact of globalization on such basic features of the modern state as state power and the apparatus of its implementation, the territory of the state, its sovereignty and legal system are described. It is substantiated that perspective directions of effective development of Ukraine in the conditions of globalization are connected with necessity of awareness and preservation by the Ukrainian society of own cultural and civilizational identity; regulatory and legal, organizational and financial support for the implementation of the Concept of Sustainable Development in Ukraine; implementation of the policy of the Ukrainian state in the most important spheres of public relations on the basis of scientifically substantiated and socio-cultural principles, time-tested and historically inherent in Ukrainian society.
