Essay

The dissertation is aimed at a new solution of scientific and technical problem, which consists in theoretical substantiation, development, and implementation of im-proved deformation - speed regimes of continuous longitudinal rolling of pipes with-out mandrel, which increases technology efficiency by the means of manufacturing pipe products with rigid characteristics of accuracy and quality, expanding the pro-duction range of existing technological units. To improve the deformation - speed regimes of continuous mills of longitudinal rolling of pipes without mandrel with different types of engine drives theoretical methods were developed for studying the processes of deformation, which take into account the complex impact on the technological capabilities of mills, accuracy of pipe diameter and wall thickness, shape of calibers, number of rolls in the working stand, number of stands involved in the process of metal forming, elastic deformation of rolls and other criterion. Based on the results of the research, rational calibrations of rolls, deformation modes, and rolling tables for longitudinal reduction and calibra-tion mills with different types of engine drives were developed, which expanded the range and improved the quality and accuracy of pipes to meet modern consumer re-quirements. Recommendations for the creation of advanced technological processes for calibra-tion and reduction of pipes for mills that have been in operation for a long period of time and cannot successfully compete with modern pipe rolling units have been devel-oped.
