Essay

The dissertation theoretically justifies and experimentally studies the psychological features of the development of communicative skills of secondary school students in the process of learning foreign vocabulary; the essence of the concepts of “communicative skills” is expanded, psychological features of the development of communicative skills in the process of learning foreign vocabulary; stages of the development of communicative skills in the process of learning foreign vocabulary. The stages of organization of an empirical study of the development of communicative skills of secondary school students in the process of learning foreign vocabulary are described; the choice of psychodiagnostic methods substantiated, the results of the research of the development of communicative skills of secondary school students in the process of learning foreign vocabulary are resulted and analyzed. The author grounded theoretical principles and recommendations approved and implemented in the educational process of Kyiv-Pechersk Lyceum #171 “Leader”, Klovski Lyceum # 77 with advanced study of foreign languages, Specialized school #89 the city of Kyiv. The development of the training program was carried out within the research and experimental work of All-Ukrainian level during the period 2015-2020 of the research laboratory of age psychophysiology of G.S. Kostyuk Institute of Psychology, National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine on the topic: “The system of psychological and pedagogical techniques in the educational process of a comprehensive school in the conditions of differentiated personality oriented education”. Scientific novelty of the research is that for the first time empirically the problem of forming communicative skills of secondary school students in the process of learning foreign vocabulary; the peculiarities of the development of communicative skills of secondary school students on the process of learning foreign vocabulary through the study of the impact of school anxiety on the level of empathy in secondary school students are determined, the establishment of gender differences in communication skills of secondary school students, clarification of psychological characteristics of emotional barriers to interpersonal communication of secondary school students; scientifically substantiated, developed and implemented psychocorrectional training program for the formation of communicative skills of secondary school students in the process of learning foreign vocabulary.
