Essay

Early diagnostics of acute pancreatitis is one of the most complicated problems of modern abdominal surgery. There are no clinical and laboratory criteria for predicting the clinical course and development of complications of acute alimentary pancreatitis. The purpose of the study was to improve the treatment outcomes of patients with acute pancreatitis of alimentary genesis by means of optimal choice of treatment method based on predicting the severity of clinical course and determining the risk of development of complications on the basis of laboratory findings and genetically determined factors. As a result of the conducted research study, we have proved a significant difference between the indicators of stab neutrophils, amylase and blood glucose, taking into account the severity of acute alimentary pancreatitis and the formation of complications. We have established a significant increase in the values of the studied laboratory findings associated with an increase in the severity of inflammatory pancreatic affection and the development of complications. Besides, we have proved the high informativeness of repeated measurements of nonspecific laboratory findings of the inflammatory affection of the pancreas as to the prognostication of the clinical course and development of complications of acute alimentary pancreatitis.
