Essay

The study of organizational and technological indicators of instrumental monitoring of landslide-prone areas is based on the use of an idealized model of stability of landslide-prone areas. Modeling of factors influencing the development of landslides allowed to establish causal links between the occurrence and development of landslides; to classify and rank landslide hazards; identify potential landslide hazards; to compare the landslide hazard of different areas; set priorities in the construction of protective structures and evaluate their effectiveness; determine the necessary composition of works on maintenance and geotechnical monitoring of landslides. Specific features of instrumental monitoring processes have been identified that allow to correctly and timely assess the condition of geodynamic areas of buildings located on them, to predict the possible development of defects and damage to buildings and to develop measures to stabilize or eliminate them. The dependence of terms and periodicity of instrumental monitoring of landslide-hazardous territories and technical condition of buildings located on them on the speed of development of landslide processes to ensure timely detection, forecasting and prevention of the threat of defects and damage to building structures; the influence of the adopted organizational scheme of implementation of compensatory measures on impossibility of formation of excessive deformations of a design of buildings in a zone of influence of landslide processes on stabilization of a technical condition of existing buildings is defined; improved methodological approaches to determining the need for compensatory measures to maintain the operational suitability of landslide-prone areas and buildings located on them at optimal financial and time costs; received further development of methods for determining the effectiveness of the system of instrumental monitoring of landslide-prone areas and the technical condition of buildings in the area affected by landslides to make operational decisions to suspend landslides.
