Essay

The research is devoted to increasing the effectiveness of treatment of patients with with hypopharynx squamous cell carcinoma by reducing the frequency and severity of side effects of antitumor treatment through the integrated use of arginine-containing drugs and enterosorbent. According to experimental research in vivo confirm the feasibility of combined immunorehabilitation through the use of enterosorbents and hepatoprotective compounds and immunomodulators. With reference to study in vitro the development of a malignant process in the hypopharynx are deviated in the quantitative and functional characteristics of various factors of cellular and humoral immunity, which provide homeostasis. Changes in trypsin-like proteinase activity and their inhibitor content in patients with hypopharynx squamous cell carcinoma have been shown. Assessment of hematological toxicity of patients treatment with hypopharynx squamous cell carcinoma revealed the cumulative effect of chemotherapy on the blood system. It was also found that hepatotoxicity in these patients develops more often than nephrotoxicity, and the use of concomitant therapy significantly decrease its manifestation. As a result of the analysis of immediate and long-term treatment results, objective quantitative estimates of the survival of patients with HSCC in different periods after chemotherapy were obtained, which indicate the advantage of the treatment process with arginine-containing drugs and enterosorption. A comparative analysis of treatment assessment methods indicates that the most likely of the three quality of life indicators we used is the integrated indicator according to the EORTC-QLQ-H & N35 questionnaire, which is based on 23 four-level expert assessments for each patient. The established changes confirm the need for preventive concomitant therapy for patients with hypopharynx squamous cell carcinoma, which avoids complications of treatment and receive an adequately high dose of chemotherapy appropriately.
