The main scientific problem of the dissertation research is children's development environment formation, which is capable of transformation and promotes socio-communicative, cognitive, speech, artistic, aesthetic and physical children's development. The relevance of the research topic is due to the need of studying and analyzing of the latest design processes in the world design practice in 2000-2019, which indicate profound changes in the interpretation of the theme of transformation in industrial design, the significant restructuring of the artistic language of design. The researched processes in design need their analysis and evaluation in the context of the whole experience of using transformation as a means of children's development environment formation. The scientific novelty of the work lies in the complex consideration and analysis of the formation peculiarities of the environment, which is capable of transformation, for children's development. For the first time on the basis of existing samples of children's furniture the typology of transformation of furniture and the equipment of environment for children's development has been developed; the constructive-technological and artistic-figurative features of transformation of furniture and equipment of children's development environment have been expanded and improved; the functions performed by the transformation in the formation of the subject content of children's development environment and the functions performed by the furniture-transformers for playing have been substantiated; the definition of "children's furniture" and "shape-shifting furniture" has been proposed; the author's model of the environment with the function of transformation for children's development has been proposed. Specialized material related to the subject content formation of children's development environment has been improved. The necessity of using constructive-technological and artistic-figurative features of transformation in designing children's development environment has been emphasized. The typical model of creating children's development environment has been improved.
