The criteria for the formation of the elementary musical-performing skills of playing the violin are developed, namely: motivational-cognitive, technological-performing, evaluative-emotional, artistic-creative, communicative-artistic. Key words: methodological foundations, pupils-beginners, elementary musical-performing skills of playing the violin, intensification of musical training.
