Essay

The dissertation research is devoted to the study of the problem of medical rehabilitation in adolescents with cerebral palsy and ways to improve it: it was found that the main characteristics of the anomalous development of adolescents with cerebral palsy are such disorders as intellectual “immaturity”, violations of generalization and impaired visual perception. Changes in these characteristics can occur only with the active intervention of medical psychologists and rehab therapists. These changes do not occur synchronously and have different dynamics in age groups. It is established that the presence of specificity of violations in the intellectual sphere in adolescents with cerebral palsy and a compensating resource within the lower limit (normal limit) of the formation of thinking. It has been determined that in adolescents with cerebral palsy, generalizations on specific and situational characteristics are a characteristic feature of concrete (object-visual) thinking. It is revealed that dynamic visual acuity, colour perception (distortion of visual fields, loss of visual fields) significantly reduced dysfunction of the parietal cortex (the visual area lights), and other localizations of the pathological process in the CNS (basal tumours, focal inflammation, haemorrhage, and other violations of vascular nature) that violate the visual function. Developed framework and implemented as a diagnostic criterion new technique IPZ (distorted visual field), which aims at identifying disorders of visual space perception, distortion of the movement of objects in space and the analysis of pathology of colour perception. It is proved that the use of the proposed methods has a positive effect on the quality of life of adolescents with cerebral palsy in general: the establishment of relationships, there was a correction of behaviour and related personal problems of adolescents. To comprehend and transform the life experience of adolescents with cerebral palsy, it is necessary to consider the psycho-traumatization of social and individual experience, stages of awareness of personal experience, character accentuation, identity formation, life perspective and psychological features identified by the author's method. The rehabilitation program revealed the prospects of autonomy of adolescents in the development of their social skills as a necessary condition for psycho-correctional work. As a result of the introduction of medical and psychological rehabilitation of the cognitive sphere of adolescents with cerebral palsy, it can be concluded that the correction of psychophysical disorders in adolescents with cerebral palsy is most fully solved with art therapy, visualized stimulation.
