Essay

The object of research is the processes of state regulation of the food industry of Ukraine. The subject of the research is scientific, theoretical-methodical and practical aspects of state regulation of the food industry of Ukraine as a tool to increase the efficiency of its functioning. Methods of empirical and theoretical analyzes are used, namely: comparative analysis; logical and semantic; logical modeling and design; historical method; statistical and economic; statistical analysis; observation and theoretical generalization. Improved: - definition of the definition of "State regulation of the food industry", which, unlike others, combines these concepts and is proposed to be considered as a set of measures consisting of state regulators of economic, administrative and social nature, through which public authorities influence development food industry in order to ensure its effective operation while ensuring food security of the country; - the mechanism of state regulation of the food industry is formed on the basis of specific goals, functions, forms, principles, methods and tools of state regulation, through which the state exerts influence on the food industry in order to obtain a certain socio-economic effect. The application of such a mechanism of state regulation of the food industry in combination with market self-regulation will ensure its effective functioning; - methodical approach to evaluation of state regulation of the food industry, which includes a system of quantitative and qualitative indicators grouped according to evaluation criteria, such as administrative-political, economic, social and investment-innovation criteria, as well as forms a generalized integrated indicator; Have been further developed: - conceptual approaches to the need to use the nomenclature-product approach in the state statistical reporting of the food industry of Ukraine, which omits the sectoral breakdown, which will determine the development of individual branches of the food industry through quantitative and qualitative indicators of progress in the relevant nomenclature-product composition transformational shifts in the industry and its subsectors. - methodical approaches to the system analysis of food industry development using SWOT-analysis, which, unlike others, are based on the study of the current state of food industry development, identification of its main problems and obstacles, as well as opportunities and advantages; - scientific substantiation of directions of improvement of state regulation, which, in contrast to the existing ones, are aimed at supporting the production of food industry products with a deeper technological process of production and innovative products, which will increase production and exports of high value-added products.
