Vrubel O. Pharmacognostic study of European spindle tree (Euonymus europaea L.)

Objects - a complex pharmacognostic study of European spindle tree; the purpose - systematic pharmacognostic study of European spindle tree, development of a comprehensive method of obtaining biologically active substances from raw materials and study of the pharmacological action of the obtained biologically active substances; methods - physical, physico-chemical, chemical, technological, macro- and microscopic, microbiological, pharmacological methods and methods of mathematical statistics; results - a comprehensive pharmacognostic study of European spindle tree was carried out, lectin from the bark was obtained, a joint scheme for obtaining biologically active substances, in particular fatty oil of seeds, was developed, its pharmacological action was studied; the quantitative content of squalene was detected and established in the fatty oil of the seeds; the composition of lipophilic fractions of leaves, flowers and bark was studied. A systematic morphological and anatomical study of European spindle tree has been carried out, the main morphological and anatomical diagnostic features of raw materials have been established; introduced - in the practical work of NVK "Lectinotest" and the scientific and educational process of the departments of specialized higher educational institutions of Ukraine; branch - pharmacy.
