Essay

The psychological meaning of the concept of self-efficacy of a future social services specialist (confidence (inner convictions), faith and ability to professional self-realization of a specialist in the field of social services and the provision of quality social services to various categories of the population) is revealed; the components of the studied phenomenon (gnostic-reflexive, value-affective, behavioural-regulatory) are singled out; The problems of development of self-efficacy of future specialists of social services at macro- (levels of society), meso- (levels of social services and training of their specialists), micro- (levels of personality) levels of analysis are analysed. The self-efficacy development of social services future specialists’ dynamics has been empirically studied. An insufficient level of development of self-efficacy and its components in the overwhelming number of researched future specialists of social services is established. Gender-age (sex, age), educational-professional (specialization, training course) and demographic features of the development of self-efficacy of future specialists of social services are stated. A model has been created, a program for the development of self-efficacy of future social service specialists has been substantiated, developed and tested, and its expediency and effectiveness have been proved.
