Essay

The dissertation outlines the study of phrasemes of the Transcarpathian Ukrainian writers Myroslav Dochynets and Dmytro Keshelia. For the first time the phraseological richness of works of art by the best of well-known representatives of this period Myroslav Dochynets and Dmytro Keshelia has been comprehensively analyzed in it. The most significant sources pertaining to phraseology in general have been worked up, and the best known classifications of phraseologisms have been considered. Linguistic, cognitive and linguoculturological trends of phraseology have been characterized. Theoretical principles of studying dialect phraseology and the history of research of the Transcarpathian Ukrainian phraseology investigation have been described. The most significant and cultural peculiarities have been analyzed. The relevance of the research theme is stipulated by the need for further elaboration of issues pertaining to dialect phraseology, which is an important constituent of the language world model and insufficient treatment of issues related to the study of individual author phraseology in Ukrainian linguistics as well as substantial research based on the investigation of the belles-lettres of the above mentioned of the artistic language of these Transcarpathian Ukrainian writers. It is dialect phraseology that best of all indicates the social experience, customs, rituals, peculiarities of speakers’ mentality who live on this or that territory. Special technique has been developed for the analysis of the phrases. The selected factual material has been processed by means of a descriptive method to distinguish phraseological thematic groups, artistic modes, the selection of general language, transformed and individual author phraseological units. The method of contextual analysis has been used to ascertain functional and stylistic possibilities of phrases in the prose of Myroslav Dochynets and Dmytro Keshelia. The descriptive method made it possible to generalize theoretically the results of the study and systematize the selected material. The method of component analysis has been used for making more precise the meaning of the phrases. Dominant common and individual signs of phraseology functioning in belles-lettres works of the Transcarpathian Ukrainian writers has been ascertained by means of the confrontation method. For revealing the frequency of occurrence of generally accepted language, individual author phrases and transformed phraseological units the quantitative analysis has been applied.
