Essay

The dissertation is devoted to the study of scientific and theoretical principles and development of practical recommendations aimed at improving the mechanisms of public administration in the field of economic cooperation of the Eastern Partnership countries. The results of public administration research in the field of economic cooperation are summarized, which are systematized into the following research platforms: definitions of the subject area of research are defined ("economic cooperation", "public management of economic cooperation" and "mechanisms of public administration in the field of economic cooperation"); the priorities of the EU Eastern Partnership program (democracy, economic integration and convergence, energy security, networking) are substantiated; identified flagship initiatives of the Eastern Partnership program (promoting the development of small and medium-sized businesses; energy markets, energy efficiency and renewable energy sources; environmental management and others). The current results of the implementation of public administration mechanisms in the field of economic cooperation of the Eastern Partnership countries are revealed: approximation of economic legislation and technical standards of such countries with European ones; absolute reformatting of the post-Soviet space; political attention to Ukraine has increased, and the Eastern Partnership countries have had the opportunity to significantly strengthen political dialogue; there is another powerful platform for meetings with EU leaders at the highest level; the Full and Comprehensive Free Trade Area between Ukraine and the EU was launched; pilot programs were launched, within which a comprehensive approach to the implementation of market reforms was developed, and others. The main problems and risks of the implementation of public administration mechanisms in the field of economic cooperation of the Eastern Partnership countries are outlined: constant institutional and organizational restructuring of management structures in the field of coordination and implementation of European integration policy of Ukraine; inadequate funding in this area; somewhat different regulatory and legal support for the implementation of European integration policy; lack of normatively established procedure for preparation and adoption of bylaws; weak public relations system; lack of an effective information and communication strategy, etc.
