Ragulina K. International treaty as a source of law in Ukraine: general theoretical aspect.

The dissertation is devoted to the elucidation of theoretical and legal aspects of the conclusion, interpretation and implementation of international agreements as a source of law in Ukraine. The paper reveals the concepts, essential features and genesis of the normative agreement as a source of law. The peculiarities of a normative agreement in international law are determined; the characteristic of the international agreement as an external form of existence of the international legal norms is given. The role and significance of the agreement as a source of European Union law in the context of the prospects of Ukraine’s European integration are clarified. The role and place of international agreements in the system of sources of law of Ukraine are determined; the influence of international agreements on the national legislation of Ukraine is demonstrated. The main problems of interpretation of international agreements and promising ways to overcome them are revealed. Relations between Ukraine and the European Union tend to deepen, which contributes to the improvement of Ukraine's European integration strategy. At present, the most important component of the institutional framework for cooperation between Ukraine and the EU is the Association Agreement (2014), which provides for the transition from partnership and cooperation to political association and economic integration, as well as framework and sectoral agreements that complement it in certain areas. and aim to intensify sectoral cooperation with the EU in areas of mutual interest. Legal reforms in Ukraine today are taking place mainly in the light of the implementation of European integration commitments, in particular in the context of the implementation of the provisions of the Association Agreement.
