Essay

The thesis is a complex and systematic scientific study of modern conceptual foundations of combating crimes in the field of justice in the course of comparative legal analysis of the norms providing for protection of justice against illegal encroachments in the Republic of Azerbaijan and Ukraine. The thesis examines the essence of justice as an object of criminal protection. Criminal law protects justice precisely as a complex joint activity of the court and related state bodies, as well as non-state institutions, which results into the issuance of a lawful and fair judgment in a particular case. The analysis of the norms of the Constitutions, Criminal, Criminal Procedural and Other Procedural Codes of Ukraine and the Republic of Azerbaijan, as well as the Laws regulating the status of judges in both states, gives grounds to claim that not only the professional activity of judges, their life, honor and safety are protected by law, but also people’s assessors, jurors, investigators, defense attorneys, witnesses, experts and translators.
