Essay

The dissertation is devoted to optimization of prevention and predicting of development of physical and psychomotor disorders in children of young age born with low body weight and was made on the basis of studying features of their physical and psychomotor development, gene polymorphisms with following creation of criteria for formation of the risk group and of the observation algorithm. The unfavorable factors of the birth of children with low body weight have been clarified. The clinical features of the neonatal period and the first year of life have been studied. The features of physical and psychomotor development were determined depending on the polymorphisms of the COL1A1 (rs1107946), FADS2 (rs174583), ACTN3 (rs1815739) genes. Children with the recessive TT genotype of the FADS2 gene polymorphism (rs174583) had lower QD scores in comparison with children with the dominant genotype. Lower relative indices of the increase in height and body length were found in children with the TT genotype of the ACTN3 gene polymorphism (rs1815739). The correlation between the polymorphism of the collagen COL1A1 (rs1107946) gene with changes in the mineral density of bone tissue in children born with low birth weight, who were predominantly formula-fed, has been proven. Criteria for the formation of a risk group for the development of psychomotor and physical disorders have been developed, regression equations have been drawn up to predict the QD coefficient and confirm the connection between physical indicators and genetic characteristics.
