Essay

For the first time in domestic architectural science, the issues of semantics of decorative and artistic means of expression in the polyethnically rich architectural context of the living environment are studied in detail. The dissertation solves the scientific problem of finding professional landmarks in the activities of an architect and creating a theoretical framework that leads traditional residential architecture to the basics of its formation. Semantic categories are found, semantic comparisons are made and semantic levels are constructed in the development of principles and regularities of application of decorative and artistic means of expression in traditional residential architecture of the South of Ukraine (on the example of central Budzhak). The information code is interpreted as a necessary theoretical method of realization of multidimensional artistic and information-semantic potential of traditional residential architectural environment. The historical-cultural and architectural-artistic potential of domestic and foreign ethnic objects is noted. Suggestions for the reconstruction of traditional residential architecture and decorative and artistic means of expression in the ethno-artistic traditions of Budzhak are presented. Peculiarities of conservation, restoration and adaptation works on historical objects of public housing for the purpose of their inclusion in agro- and ethno-cultural tourism are revealed. Methodical basic recommendations for the preservation and restoration of public housing in line with trends in the development of the domestic school of protection and restoration of monuments have been developed.
