Essay

The presence of HC in patients with CHCI is associated with a higher degree of cognitive deficits. The most prognostically unfavorable for the cognitive sphere is the internal form of HC. In patients with CHCI in combination with HC, the levels of anxiety and depression on the HADS scale were significantly higher, and the indicators of the mental component of quality of life were significantly lower than in patients without HC. The type and severity of HC in patients with CHCI affected cerebral blood flow and structural changes in cerebral vessels. In case of presence of HC, significantly higher rates of mitochondrial dysfunction, intracellular oxidative stress, apoptosis and necrosis of blood leukocytes were detected. It was found that the progression of neurological and cognitive deficits was accompanied by an increasing of the production of ANV + -, ROS + - and Mito + cells.
