Chubirko V. Constitutional and legal regulation of the participation of political parties in local elections in Ukraine and in the countries of the European Union: a comparative study

The dissertation is a comprehensive legal study of the constitutional and legal regulation of the participation of political parties in local elections in Ukraine and in the countries of the European Union. This research is focused on the analysis of the doctrinal sources of the participation of political parties in local elections. It also outlines a range of laws and regulations of Ukraine and some EU countries that regulate this participation. This dissertation provides arguments for considering the participation of political parties in local elections in the EU countries within three patterns of the constitutional and legal regulation: the pattern of general legal regulation, the pattern of specific legal regulation and the pattern of extended legal regulation of the participation of political parties in local elections.
