The dissertation is devoted to the analysis of the essence of the criminal law protection of cultural property in Ukraine in the context of the protection of the world cultural heritage and the formulation of recommendations for improving the current national legislation. The state of scientific development and the methodological foundations of the study are analyzed, the features of the historical stages of the development of criminal-legal protection of cultural values in Ukraine are investigated; the social conditioning and criminal-legal protection of cultural values in Ukraine is characterized and the features of foreign experience of criminal-legal protection of cultural values are determined.
