Kalarah A. Theoretical and legal bases of the functions of the Supreme Court: genesis, institutionalization, reform

In the dissertation research in the theoretical and legal aspect the functions of the judiciary are comprehensively characterized. The classification characteristic of the functions of the judiciary is presented. The features of the status and functional specifics of the Supreme Court are revealed. The evolution properties of the functions of the highest court institution on the territory of Ukraine in the pre-Soviet period are studied. The Soviet period of the institutionalization of the Supreme Court’s functions has been rethought in a new way. A comparative legal analysis of the foreign experience of the functional definition of the highest courts in different legal systems is carried out.
